Thanks!

It was worth the wait, funny how it totally changes the appearance;o)

Robert, hope you’re doing well!

Well, changed the oil today and sent out for a Blackstone report. While I was at it, I installed one of these:

Curious what the report will show... Changed it at 46% life left...

I like to experiment. Of course, I keep the drain with me -just in case...

Video of usage:

That adapter would be awesome for my engine.. I hate how they arranged the plugs to be directly inline with a crossmember so it gets everywhere if you aren't quick enough. I usually shove a funnel in place right as I pull the plug.

Keep us posted on the ease of it, please!

Now it's time to break the land speed record at cornering.

Will do. I got it so I could control where the drain oil goes...

So, did some research on trunk shocks. It appears GM uses 2 different ones -- 1 for non spoiler/wing and ones 'with' a spoiler/wing.

Since I purchases a trunk lid that did 'not' have a spoiler/wing, I notice the trunk was 'heavier' than normal. I found there were 2 part numbers so ordered the set that went with the spoiler/wing lids:

Installed:

Seriously, big difference and now the trunk lid actually pops up again!

Who knew...

Maintenance day, changed diff oil (Lucas 85w140 Dino oil), suspension check, tires checked, lug nuts (still holding fine @ 60 ft lbs), DSS and new suspension items checked. Looks like the rear tires are getting there so I’ll need those soon. Gonna get my spare set cleaned up and put those on before CFest. The Toyos are on back order so I’ll probably buy 2 sets of rears and have my extra rear rims set for that (I have 6 rear rims and 4 fronts)...

Pretty much maintenance mode now that the big ticket items are in place. Waiting on my Blackstone Report.

Next I’ll just change the PS fluid and all fluids will be fairly fresh (intercooler fluid will be later).

Did ask C7 ‘when’ I should put a sealant on the wing. They said wait 30 days since it has a UV sealant that needs to cure so, right before CFest ;o)

Well got a chance on an empty road to test out the wing - its going to make a difference at speed for sure. At a fair speed it seems to 'suck' the car to the ground... I really need to put it on a track to test turns and real straight-aways but, really think it will make a difference... Hope I can get a 'practice lap or 2' at NCM.. Maybe the Wednesday before CFest, Danny? ;o)
