Hot Smell?

Some friends and I went out tonite and took my car and my buddies truck. They were following me onto an entrance ramp and I really got on it. Everyone in the pickup behind me said they could smell a really hot smell. I hit the redline in first and second. Could this mean I'm running rich or whats the deal?

They don't run lean at WOT.

It's no big deal, you should get on it more often. Be safe.

You shouldn't have bought a knock off brand Cymaro. Should have just paid the right price and got a ture Camaro.

Had to

I wouldn't worry about it. If anything is wrong engine wise 95% of the time you'll be throwing codes.

I wouldn't be unless you smell it inside/outside the car yourself or you lack performance, or feel something is wrong. Otherwise the people tailing you are just smelling your car's waste.

As in eat my dust.

Haha, I've had a sinus infection for like 2 weeks and can't smell anything. And they could't elaborate anymore on what it smelled like.

I think you are OK. The "hot smell" your friends noticed is probably the byproduct smell from the catalytic converters when they heat up suddenly from hard acceleration. Completely normal.
