Which lowering springs to get

I have a 2010 SS (L99) and I'm looking to drop it a little. I have 315s in the rear. Would a 1.4" be okay with these tires? Or which springs, drop would you recommend. Links would be appreciated

What brand wheel do you have? It all depends on wheel offset. I am lowered 1.2 in rear with 315s with no rubbing issues and a +43 offset (factory reproductions)

I'm not honestly sure about offset. The car came with these wheels on it.

Are they aftermarket wheels? Maybe post a pic of your car from the side so we can get an idea of what you may have. If your wheel sticks out into or past the gender I wouldn't recommend 1.4 inches as hitting bumps you will likely rub. If the wheel is in the fenderwell like mine is you SHOULD be safe... But as I said earlier offset is key

I'm ALMOSTpositive these will be fine lowered. These are extremely popular wheels on this forum I was looking at them myself for a while and I personally haven't heard of anyone with rubbing issues but search the forum they are called "tsw nurburgring"

I like my Hotchkis 1" springs. I'm running 285-35-20's so it is another .40" lower than a 275-40-20. You will be ok with a 1" drop with the TSW's.

Ive got 20" Forgestar F14s, 11" wheels with 315s in the rear and Pfadt (now called Apex) drop springs. Great drop, great performance, and decent price.

I suggest sticking with 1"-1.25" for the best ride.

BMR part # SP019 and Part # SP077 are good options.

Best regards,

We also have PFADT lower springs that will give you among the best balance of comfort and performance with a nice 1" drop to your Camaro.

The picture shown was of a ZL1 with our PFADT springs,
as well as the green SS Camaro
