Post Z/28 replica project

Hello everyone! My name is Migy and im from northern california. My father has restored a 1969 Z/28 camaro in his image and has now passed it down to me. Since i grew up around that car i have become a camaro fanatic, more so than others. About 4 months ago i was able to sell a 2002 stage 2 Roush mustang (yes i know.. its a ford... lol) and have enough money for a down payment on my new 2013 Camaro 2SS/RS M6.

Here are my cars, with the third photo being both of my babys in the garage. My plan is to paint the same stripes on the '13 as they are on the '69 along with the Z/28 Badges. So far the only modifications i have done to the '13 is paint matched the rear deffusior and tinted all 5 windows excluding the windshield of course. Here are the photos of the Tint, before and after

P.S. Here is a little prayer for all us gearheads and car lovers

Here is a list of mods that I want to do. It will probably take me a few years to get everything done due to income restrictions.

Magnuson’s MP2300 TVS Supercharger Kit
Hotchkis Stage 3 Total Vehicle System Race Package
*Revision* Unrestricted Motorsports Generation 1 Spoiler
Custom Painted Rally Stripes matching my '69 Camaro
BBK CAI in polished
Apex Air Scoop and Washer fluid replacement Kit.
*Revision* Muffler Delete with new 3" tips, then upgrade to Lingefelter SS 3.0" Axle Back Exhaust with 4" Polished Tips
Retain Factory Cats (for now)
Borla Shorty Headers
GM Heritage Grill Paint Matched
*Revision* Seibon Carbon Fiber OEM Style(GMPP) Ground FX Kit or GM Painted Ground FX Kit (leaning more towards the carbon fiber)
*Revision*Apex Motorsports sold Technostalgia Rapid Fire Sequential LED Tail lights with Afterburner
LED Reverse Lights
Removal of All Chevy Bowties and SS Emblems
Reproduction '69 Z/28 Fender, Grille, and Rear Emblems
Reproduction '69 Camaro Header and Fender Emblems
Camaro Concept Side Marker with SMD Strip (Smoked Lens)
Anvil Auto Billet Side Gills

Most of the parts will be ordered from RPI Designs along with Phastek Performance and Apex Motorsports, which I thank C5 for leading me to them. The repo emblems will either be bought from steves camaros in nor cal bay area or from a box that my father has hidden with extra emblems for our '69.

That seems to be all that's on my list at the moment. Slowy finding more parts that I fall in love with. There hasn't been any interior mods that have caught my eye yet, but we shall see in the days to come.

Oh yea! Love that '69! Your build sounds like it's gonna be sick! Good luck with it and have a fun journey getting there!

Fate and parents being stupid will always be in the way.... The reason I say this is because the stripes and spoiler for Renee will be on hold yet again. Why you ask? The money I have saved up was going to be used for such modifications, but due to recent event I will be using such money to help my parents pay off some of the credit card debt so I dont have to hear there incessant yelling at each other about money... Wish me luck that I begin to get some side work. Def want to get my spoiler at least...

Good news!!!! Some time in mid-August, some punk kids egged my car. Thankfully it was only a single egg but it did damage the clear on the driver door. Why is this good news?? well it just so happens that they actually scratched my hood slightly where the stripes would be if i would hav had it done by now. With that being said I can now have the insurance pay for part of the stripes on Renee! There will still be some time to wait before i get the spoiler, but thats only 400 bucks! Slowly but surely!

Man... It sure has been a minute since I've last logged on. I think its time for an update.

I never got the stripes done on Renee due to the body shop owner being a d!(k, thats me putting it simply. With that out of the way, I started a new job in october of last year and I've been driving a 120 mi commute up untill two months ago. Now the car is finally getting well deserved rest and is back at the body shop to take care of the bad polishing they did when the repaired the paint from last time.

Now.... for the good stuff.

I JUST ORDERED PARTS!!! Got a BBK CAI in a polished finish and new LED DRL bulbs with the DRL Harness to allow them to stay on when the headlights turn on. Im excited!!

Bring on the mods! Can't wait to see how you pay tribute to the Z on your late model. There's a guy in my club who has done a retro 69 pace car theme on his 12 vert and it's amazing.
