That can't be true. I had somebody tell me just tonight that nobody was planning to take my guns away.

On a serious note...did that taller dude sound stoned to anyone else?

That wasn't done to really try to take away people's rights.

It was done to prove a point. And to prove that some people would be willing to give up just about anything.....and their point was proven.

The petition? Well people were signing it, regardless of the point. Those people thought it was a good idea, and the idea as stated was to repeal an amendment. So while it might not have been really done to try to take away a right, the effect was people hopped on board with the idea. Six of one, half a dozen of the other at the end of the day.

That Nikon probably isn't cheap, so it may be a decent price... depends on the stock. If it's the cheap injection molded crap I'd pass, unless I knew the rifle and it was already sub MOA.

Oh, of course. You are absolutely right. I was only saying it wasn't done intentionally to repeal anything....just to show some stupidity out there.

But sheesh....add all that stupidity up and it's kinda scary...

Unfortunately, that kind of idiocy is the norm I'm afraid. People believe the oddest things, if somebody else is persuasive and makes them want to believe it. People commonly only look at an issue until they see what they want to see. They hardly ever look at it until they know about it.

"Remington 700 sps .. 26in heavy barrel.. adjustable xmark pro trigger..adjustable bipod.. red/green lighted mildot 8x32x50 firefield tactical scope.. visual clarity adjustment from 0 to infinity.. adjustable eye relief.. lockable zero resettable tactical turrets..super cell recoil pad.. This gun/scope combo is scary accurate! I have the trigger adjusted to 1.5 pounds.. it will hold sub moa groups out to 300 yard all day long. I have only shot it out to 650 but is still grouping Tighter than I see guys at 100 yards lol"
$1150... worth it?

Or

Remington 700 VLS 308 Never been shot. 26" barrel.
Sightron 4.5 x 14x42 with sun shade. Bipod. Don't know a whole lot about it. Might be able to get it around the same price... Maybe $200 or 3 more?
