ACT, Spec, or RAM clutch

Need to upgrade my Spec stage 2 clutch to a twin that can handle 800 ft engine, looking at Spec SC66SST, ACT T2S-G01 or T2S-G05 and maybe RAM 90-2100. Not a daily driver, but needs to be easy on the street and withstand hard launches.

Funny guy

800 ft/lb at the engine, which I'm sure you knew what I meant.

Budget is around $1200.

My vote is for a Monster, but I may be a little biased

Seriously though our ceramic street twin clutch the LT1-SC is what I'd recommend and will meet your goals/budget, don't hesitate calling if you have any questions or would like a quote. Chris, 817-750-2000

I would do a search on this site and see what has been the trouble free clutch of choice .

I had a twin disc ACT, it was an on/off switch even after sending it back to the factory for them to tweak...

Bit the bullet and bought a Street Slayer and absolutely love it... I'll never run anything else... It's drives like stock on the street and holds everything I've thrown at it on the track...

Thanks for the info. After further research, seems H-E Street Slayer, Mantic 9K have a great track record but a bit over budget, Monster LT1-SC is fairly new but people are happy with it so far.

Got a buddy running the ACT and he said the same thing. Its still in his car since he's used to it now.

I've still got an ACT, a T1S-G01, has to be going on 3 years now, it's been fine. Looks like hell the last time I had it out during a motor change. Only thing I don't like about it is the light weight flywheel.

I love my twin Mcleoud. pedal pressure is less than stock and no problems handling the 650RWHP and TQ.
