RS or Polished
Wheels. Can you tell me what wheels come with the 2 SS. If I upgrade to polished wheels are they the same wheels that come on the SS and their just polished? Is is worth all the money to get the RS pkgj ust for lights front and different rear lights or are the wheels so much defferent or better? I like wheels that shine but cant afford to buy aftermarket wheels. I just wanna make right decission and any input would be helpful I know it just an oppinion.

I'm going to order polished, for no other reason than durability. Don't want little nicks showing up in the finish over time.
But then again, I plan on keeping the factory wheels. If you're going to change them out, then the extra $450 for polished would seem a waste...

if you like shine, you will like the polished wheels better.

Standard rims on SS are painted 20's w/ a sterling silver finish. RS gives a "darker" midnight silver finish. All 3, sterling, midnight, and polished are the same rims.

Sterling and midnight are painted wheels though, correct? While the "polished" are unpainted aluminum alloy?

The RS wheels are not all that much different in appearance than the polished. I have the RS wheels and I think they look great and so far, there is not a mark in them.
The polished is a bit shinier, but not drastically so. You can look at my car which is a 2SS/RS: These are the 20" midnight silver wheels (painted aluminum) that come with the RS package. I didn't want to pay the extra money for the polished wheels. I am not sure which wheels come on the non RS SS car. |

I had actually hoped the RS wheels looked darker. When you Build and Price the car on chevy.com, the come across as almost a black chrome.

Gotta have the polished wheels. The others always look dirty in my opinion. The polished wheels just POP in the sun when there clean. Let them get brake dust on them and they look dirty and dull like the others.
It's like the Camaro colors- whatever floats your boat. |

I've got polished on both my LT and SS ... I think it depends on the color of the car. IMO the lighter cars look better with polished wheels ...
But I'm also old school and owned many a Crager and Chrome Reverse wheels ...

I think I may have my RS wheels done in "black pearl" as advertised here:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74237 I think that would look sweet on a CGM car! |

I got polished; but only because the 2SSRS6MVRBS - M - O - U - S - E (sing the Mickey Mouse song here) I wanted had them already installed and I didn't want to wait on a build.
I would rather have the Midnight Silver - I like the looks better. 15XX Miles - Any one in SoCal wanna trade up? |
