Vortech V3 info

For those of you that are supercharged and looking at going with more boost, I was looking at Vortech's site and found the following:

Quote:
Superchargers exceeding 6 PSI require a Vortech standard bypass valve or a Vortech Maxflow racing bypass valve.

Superchargers exceeding 10 PSI require a Vortech Maxflow Mondo or Maxflow racing bypass valve.

Blow off valves are for turbochargers... You can change the BOV spring out to a light spring and make it a bypass valve.

3.25" will run the blower a bit above the maximum rated impeller speed.. So I would not run a V3 Si or T with lower than that.

Thanks for the information. I've got a V2 with a 928 impeller and some upgraded parts and been told max speed is around 62k rpm. With the impeller speed calculator says 2.9" will run about 56k but just don't know about belt slip.

Sorry I stand corrected on what I had said. With the 7.9" lower, it will run about max rpm.

So what "kit" are you actually running? This is the BIG determining factor on belt slip.
