I'm going to guess that a bat, bird, or a bug flopped around on there. One evening a while back, I went outside to wash my Silverado, when a low- IQ bat ran into my windshield. It tried in vain NOT to slide down the windshield, but failed... the little bat claws made a weak and undignified squealing sound as it slowly slid down. Once at the bottom of the windshield, it flopped around a little (leaving marks in the dust on the hood, similar to yours), before it finally stood up (and I swear, it brushed itself off, straightened its necktie, and gave me a "I- meant- to- do- that" look), walked to the edge of the hood, and flew away.

Yep, I recognize that, definitely extraterrestrial hieroglyphics. Or a bat.

Sometimes things in life would make a good cartoon. That's a good one.
