wiring wise, what did you do? Just put the wires on the contact points where the bulb would sit?

He's right Bill, a sharp knife makes all the difference. I didn't even bake the sidemarker this time around. By the fourth marker I was splitting them in a couple of minutes. I was gonna keep it lowkey but expect to see them this Sunday.

Yes Sir!! I laid the wires over the contact point and wedged the bulb back in. But remember to snip of the bulb wire. You want that bulb to be dead.

I am really glad you guys are loving this DIY. When I did my led side markers I couldn't believe how good they looked. I knew I had to share it with my fellow members. We accomplished something that looks better then some vendors for cheaper. A win/win.

Is it feasable to use a dremmel tool to cut the housings like is used when splitting the tailights for the afterburner install?

The only reason I didn't use one is because I was afraid I would take too much plastic off. When it's all glued back up, I'd like it to sit flush with the fenders as it originally did. Though I could be mistaken and there's a blade thin enough to just slice the sucker.

When I did my Led side markers last year I opened one with a dremel tool, but the problem is the plastic starts to melt. The utility knife is best.

I've heard of people boil tail lights in water for a few minutes would that work in this situation or easie to just cut it. Plus what was used to glue it back together.
