Ever regret getting an automatic

I have met two camaro owners and they both have automatics. The both regret not having a manual. Anybody else feel the same? Since I have a manual I can't answer that question.

I had that dilemma and decided on an automatic. Reason being is that I do mostly 'around town' driving and the thought of constantly shifting (and being in my PRE mid life crisis old body) wasn't that appealing.

I will say however, that after a year of driving in Sport mode, I'm starting to experiment with the paddle shiffters more and more - which is pretty much the same as a manual trans.

Agreed, these days I get my Manual kicks from the paddle shifters.

it would be nice at times but at other times auto is to. the only reason i would prefer a manuel is the $1000 u save when doing a cam swap you dint have to pay for the conversion

People get disappointed because they settle for what other people tell them to get. You need to ignore everyone else and buy what YOU want. I love my manual and many people are perfectly happy with there autos.

Had a 2010 L99 with Janetty Tune, have a 2013 LS3 now. LS3 is allot more fun car. Also pushes your back in the seat more. Can't wait till I get my 1LE 3.91 rear end put in.

If you get an auto you will be limited to an amount of power you can add before you need a tranny re-build (expensive). In manual you can do a lot of burnouts easily and other cool tricks. My last car was a twin turbo Audi w/ shifters and it was an auto. I regret having a sports car with an auto transmission. So when I bought the camaro I had to go with manual.

Wow!
Only two Camaros in South Jersey?

I don't regret my auto. Needed it when I broke my wrist last year. However, mine is just a weekend car, and I am willing to trade to a stick car.

No regrets. Drove standards for years on DDs. Had enough. Like my remote start too.
Yeah it costs more but I'm worth it LOL.
