Vacuum Tap from intake manifold

Hello guys, Can anyone tell me what do the vacuum line highlighted in the picture do? I am planning on tapping this line for the vacuum for my NPP. Also is there another place that has more vacuum then this line, as the butterfly valves vibrate sometimes upon closing when using this line.

Don't use that line, that's the tank vent line. The brake booster line on the drivers side is what us supercharger guys use. I will see if I can post a picture of what it looks like.

This is what I have. if you were to take your stock line off the intake manifold, the yellow elbow is a 1 way check valve to prevent boost from going into the brake system (for supercharged systems). The valve is then connected to a line that has a T in it with a 5/32nd inch nipple I believe. Then it connects to the intake manifold. You can use the 5/32nd inch nipple to run that to a vacuum gauge. I've seen that T thingy at O'rielly's before though, don't know where it is on the website.

I am little hesitant to cut brake booster lines. Do you know what are the consequences of vac leak in the line I purposed and the brake booster line. There are two more lines there too.

You don't have to cut the line, you just squeeze the clamp and the line pops off. You then add a line that had a T in it and hook the vacuum up to it.

Guys got another issue now. Butterfly valves for the exhaust vibrate at cold start. Anyway to fix it? I was thinking about moving vacuum actuator little bit back by adding washers, so that it will put more force on the valves to close.Around 10 inHg they vibrate like crazy. Checkout the video.

Vacuum pressure in NPP

Any feedback guys. Can anybody who own a 2013 lt with NPP verify what vacuum they are getting at exhaust tips.

Hey Manu, I am working on this same issue now. Added the NPP exhaust to my 2011 LLT vert but I can not get the NPP in a box vacuum line ran. Did you run the same T as recommended and if so can I get a pic of it.. Thanks

I used vacuum line from throttle body, as I was not comfortable in using vaccum from brakes. You do need a couple of valves with rpm switch (I used MSD) , otherwise lots of drone on highway. As soon as you step on gas , valves will open up

Here's a couple of pics of where the vacuum is tapped into the brake vacuum line.

Manu_B do you have pics of how you ran your line? Wanting to do this weekend.

The drone in my car is KILLING ME and wanting to quiet it down with closing the valves at least.

I am also going to add a Magnaflow resonated X pipe as well to help the rasp and drone

Welp project "Quad Life" will be no more after Friday. I added the NPP exhaust and it is just WAY to loud, raspy and droney. I added the NPP in a box, spent another 45 bucks in fittings for the vacuum tap and it still did not work. SOO back to the drawing board again.

So I have now had, Muffler Delete back to stock, Borla Attak and back to stock and now NPP and now going back to stock.

One day I'll find the right combo!
