this would be one excuse to have them

which is exactly why lamborghini started using them. the car's so wide, they didn't want getting in & out while in a parking space to be a pain

plus, scissor doors allow you to get in your car when the @sshole that parked next to you parked to dang close.
thats why they started making rear hatches on the f-bodies... so you could climb in the back when people park too close to you.

ive bashed peoples doors before when they park like that next to me. especially when its blatant, purposeful parking, over the line as close as they can get, to the point where they had to back up and re align with some one guiding them to get that close...... then ill flatten their tires on the other side so their car leans away from mine giving me extra room.

^^

if someone's over the line & i have to park next to them, i'll get as close to them within the lines of my spot as i can, especially if it blocks their driver door. i'll just get out on the passenger side or even through the back glass if i have to.

thats one thing I like about having a big truck. if I really want to, I can leave the back of the truck hanging out behind their car so they cant back up.

i hate those gay-ass lambo doors. this guy i kno put them on a CAVALIER. wat a douch. anyways, if it was gull wings, or suicide, tht wud be pretty sweet. i kno someone who put gulls on a 73 z28, and it looked kick-ass.

I think the Delorean style doors would be acceptable, but "lambo" doors are pretty lame

Please please please dont defile the 5th or any generation with lambo doors. Lambo doors belong on a Countach and thats it.

I LOVE, the rear hatches! From what I see, Fifth gen's won't have them right? (sorry to be off topic).

Nope, the design of the 5th has gone back to the old small trunk hatch of the 1st and 2nd generations. But it hides a huge ass trunk, that can be expanded to the back seat when you flip the rear seat down.

As for his car, I saw more of it since I posted the story. He needs some serious interior and driveline work, as it's just ratty and tattered. He still loves it through and through, though.. a Camaro-ite to the end. I'll have to point out C5 to him after spring break. I have convinced him to look into an LS1 swap first though, due to part interchangeability.

One more reason why I like fourth gen's:

I wish they'd make it aerodynamic like the fourth. With 422 HP (unlike 275 in 4th) that really put's a choke on it a bit...right?

I should start another thread on this...

Sorry...
