Putting HID headlamps in my LS

Does anyone know if it is necessary to buy the harnesses to cancel error codes when switching from halogen to HID?

On my LS I went with the BFxenon hi lo kit and there was no harness needed beside the ballast setup. You should get no error code or flickering with the right kit. I went with this kit because the burn point in the HIDs are the same as the halogens so you get the correct focus and not blind on coming cars. This is the physics behind getting a good replacement system.
