I live in ohio and got 20%. Its pretty dark, almost cant see in. If I understand correctly, they come factory tinted at .7% or something, so now im like 13%, or was it 70% and now I'm like? The guy at the shop said all his guys have 20% and no one has had a problem with johnny law, he said they would be see-thru enough to tell if you were male or female, but maybe he didn't know my windows already were factory tinted? I crack my windows, to let light in whenever I see Johnny around. I wish I would have gotten 35% like my other cars, but i dont wanna have it removed and redone and be shabby. I had a window redone on another car and it looked like light scratches between the glass and the tint under certain lighting conditions and at the right angle. Im just sayin I suck at math

LOL ... Come down here and hang out at one of our beaches for 30 minutes and see what happens to you. You will be very easy to spot, looking like a cooked lobster ... That's the reason we tint, the intensity of our sun is way different than your's.

Also Florida limit is 28% ... I went with 15% and it looks like limo ...

The front strip is *technically* illegal since it is below AS-1. The sides meter at 33% (36% + 70% factory [minimum]). They are 2% below legal; it was the lightest ceramic tint my tinters had. I doubt the police are going to nitpick 2%. There is typically a variance allowed, for exactly the reasons of meter tolerances, etc. I understand that figure to be right at 3%.

36% tints would give you 25.2% tints (.36 X .7, not .36 + .7)

went 35 on the sides and a small 5% strip on the windsheild.The rear is 18%. I did not go darker because I also drive alot at night. If you live in FL and have a car with a black interior and want to keep it that way you should get the windows tinted.

5% on my front windsheild sun strip area and 5% on back half, prolly 15% or 18% on side front windows, which ever i think i can get away with.

LMAO, how is getting window tint " ghetto" as a couple people have referred to it. Before my grandparents passed away a few years back they had the windows on their early '90's Buick tinted.They were little sweet ole white people too, so how does window tint become "ghetto" ?

Does anyone know if the LS has the factory 70% also? I didnt even get floor mats so I wouldnt be surprised if they skipped that too. If it does Im thinking of doing 35%*70%=25%. If it doesnt ill just go 17%.

My daughter bakes in her car seat right now as it is. Pretty ghetto reason to tint huh, lol!
