You could buy your own OEM chain kit online for $200 or less Then just pay labor to put it in.

Thanks - I know that - dealer will accept me providing OEM kit but will not warrant the work so not worth the risk. I’ve provided brake rotors/pads & other parts but this is different.

Timing Chain Replaced / Traded-in Camaro
Update from earlier post.
I had the Timing Chain replaced in my 2010 2LT RS at 59,285 miles - McGuire Chevy in Newton, NJ quoted $1,500 + tax and it came in slightly under that, including Mobile 1 Oil Change and Coolant Service. Bad but not as bad as other costs I've seen in this thread. I could've brought in an OEM Timing Chain kit but Dealer would not warranty the service, especially if there was an issue on the install... I traded-in my Camaro for a 2020 PHEV (the shame I now will live with but makes sense going-forward). The 2010 was coming due for Rotors and Pads for my upgraded 1LE Brembos, and the cat-back exhaust installed in 2009 was starting to rattle, so it made sense to trade now before another bill came due (like the $835. Engine Control Module (ECM) that went the month before the Timing Chain). Thanks to all who posted in this thread for giving me food for thought on this.

Sorry to see another 5th gen owner move on but I understand. Makes me nervous as mine has around the same mileage on it. Hopefully mine will continue to run relatively problem free for some time to come (knock on wood).

I am not too far off on mileage.
Hope all the upgrades (PCV, drill mod) (Mag drain plug) CAI, make a difference on this engine running cleaner. I also run slightly thicker oil. Never add and change around 3,500 mi.
