"Looks" nice. Maybe a bit pricey compared to what you could spend on a regular SS and get in return.

Nice car though.

I like the car and don't really care to add mods. 6k is a little much but this will probably be my last car so who cares about the $$$.

If you don't like the car, don't buy one. However, for everything you get with the package, the price is actually a deal.
That's my thinking as well. It's 5-6k surcharge for the package, but that includes RS ($1500) and ground effects ($2k), so it's really something like $1500-2k to get the paint/interior/wheels (which I think are nice, but don't really match well. Personal taste of course).

So, I think the bottom line on this is if you like the wheels (can't order it without them), then it's really a nice package and pretty sweet deal. If not, you are paying a little more, could sell the wheels perhaps, or maybe the dealer could swap them out onto another Camaro and increase the price a bit on that one.

While at the dealership, they had a 2013 convertible 2LT/RS. I noticed it had paddle shifters. Is this a factory option?
I think all the 2LT autos come with them, perhaps LS as well, unsure.

Sorry for digging up old bones...

I am looking at getting a new sports car to commemorate my retirement after serving in the Navy for 30 years. I have an HHR SS, but want a true sports car. I found this Dusk edition on the lot near my house, I get employee purchase from my mother so the price won't be so bad. I think one thing everybody is missing on the value is the Brembo brakes. That alone is over a grand upgrade. I am also looking at the new 14' mustangs...talk me down off the ledge.

Hey , welcome back to a regular , and tanks for all what you did .
But please , make us a favor and retire with peace of mind, and in style , it's okay to drive by the other guys dealer , but only that ( drive ) , don't stop by or anything like that
Just walk around the Camaro , take a good look at the lines seen from about fender high and about 12 inches away looking to the back , that's all you need to be saved !!!

Welcome to the Dusk
I have the 2SS version.
was expensive at 49.8k sticker.
thankfully I didnt pay that I also got the employee pricing.
Still get nothing but people staring and stopping me.
people love the color and the wheels and the interior.

but just a note.
all SS come with the Brembos that is not part of the Dusk package.

And I am also ex USN in fact my plates on order are USN 88

Thanks for the info.

I just looked up tire pricing for this car and I'm looking at $2500 to replace all the rubber! My new job (hopefully, waiting on a call today or tomorrow) comes with a company F150 and gas card, so this will be more of a weekend car. By the way my wife has an '11 2500HD diesel for her horse trailer so she can leave the car alone...

Might as well hang that up...you can't even get Bluetooth unless you are buying top of the line V6 or V8.

As far as the price, my 2011 2SS/RS vert sticker was just over $45k. So thats an extra $3k for painted rims? No thanks.

All the comments from all the posters on this thread are valid. This model appeals to some people and to others it does not. That's why there are so many Camaro models and special editions. I do agree that the ability to mix and match options more easily would be great. I own one of these and I bought it for looks. I have other hot rods that will smoke this car so I don't really care about its performance. I also plan to buy a ZL1, so I can have my cake and eat it too. Both the interior color and exterior color need to be seen in person to be appreciated. I see many Camaros on this forum that I love either for their performance or looks or both, that's what's great about the forum, we all love this car!

the car is stunning in person and does not look like just another SS.

That is a good looking car. I like the blue top! Good luck with her.
