I have done the swap on a M6. Really wakes the car up nicely. Break-in is really about 3 heat cycles on the gears (drive normal for about 30 minutes then let cool for several hours). This helps harden them. Then get about 500 miles on them before running them hard. If installed correctly they are just as durable as the stock gears.

That's good to know. What do you suggest we do if we are having someone install them a couple of hours away. I would basically be doing 70mph on my way back. I prob won't be able to do the heat cycle like that

Yeah, that makes for a long trip. The shop did the first heat cycle for me after finishing. I picked it up the next day, took a long lunch break, then finished the trip.

Another thing to keep in mind is that if you go with a Tru Trac, DO NOT fill it with synthetic fluid. Always use non-synthetic fluid. The unit does not like the other stuff.

I wouldn't have another vehicle to go in. I could take shit apart but Idk about putting it back on. I'll see what they recommend. Who knows maybe since they have differentials ready maybe they are broken in already. About the regular oil yes I've heard of that thanks anyways
