If you were really a die hard GM or chevy guy something so little would not deter you from buying a chevy over a ford. In fact you wouldn't even consider a mustang.

To everyone that said the electronics shouldn't be in a muscle car, or they don't matter, in reality they do. In my opinion to compete with almost every car out there now they should atleast OFFER it.......

I'm going to wait until I drive both cars, watch drag races between both, and see how many people buy a Camaro.

If there are tons of Camaros, then for sure I will get the Mustang. Everyone thinks the Mustang is too popular, whose to say the Camaro won't be the same way? They're both priced very well and both are very sexy cars. I predict there will be just as many 2010 Camaros on the road as 2010 Stangs.

However, not nearly as many as those... Mopars...

Hold on. I agree with you on the tech side of things, but a ton of camaros sold is going to push you towards a mustang???

I would hate to say it, but their has been years of the current styling of the stang. How many camaros sold is too many? To me, if GM were to sell a 75,000-100,000 camaros, the camaro to mustang ratiowill still be pale in comparison in my eyes I guess if your just basing it off of the 2010 stang vs. 2010 camaro then fine, but I don't think the 2010 differentiated itself enough from previous models to justify this type of decision.

I didn't really mean it that way. I know the Mustang DESIGN is old and over-populated... But people can't use that to persuade me to a Camaro, because I know for a FACT GM is going to sell an enormous amount of these things. They are sexy and have a phenomenal price, and if people aren't like me and don't give a crap about interior, they'll buy it.

I don't know of any state where it is illegal to run fogs and headlamps.

But I do know that you can only have a certain number of lamps on at once.

So on my cars If you turn on the brights the fogs go off.

So i am guessing the limit is 4 lights. (not counting amber parking lights)

left/right headlight, left/right fogs

but with High beams on most cars (Non HID) is 2 left lamps/ 2 right headlamps. which equals 4. therefore you can't have your fogs on.. That is why my Hyundai's fogs turn off automatically when you turn on the high beams.

As far as HID-- I've never had a car that came with them stock. Do they have a high beam setting?

I had aftermarket ones already installed on a used car, and there was no high setting, My headlights were either on or off.

Sorry i am not 100% sure, but this is my theory.

Oh yea, and the Mustang is nice, but I just can't see paying nearly 40K for a '10 mustang GT that is very similiar to the '09-- which can be had for mid/low 20s right now.

hard to swallow that pill.

Yes, I am praying that GM offers a technology package of some kind. If anything, at least give me a hud and smartkeys, at most navigation. (Yes, I know GM has turn by turn nav, but people still enjoy to see a screen in their car...I wouldn't pay the extra dough for the option, but it has been well said that many people on this site would get that option)

Buy what you like, make sure you do you reasearch first because its a desicion you have to live with. Me electronics is at the bottom for me when it comes to a performance car, thats the last thing on the list. I wish GM offered cars like back in the day bar bones no options, I can add my own crap.

I see your smiley but that would be a dumb reason to not buy a car. My parking brake lever has never touched my leg and if I'm in an actual emergency I want the lever right where I can grab it easier.

I'm still here. I don't post much anymore because I've pretty much decided to get a 2011 Mustang 5.0. I think a lot of people left because of the attitude of some of the more rabid Chevy fanboys here. Kinda ruins it for some of the cool people here who actually want to have a discussion.

Drive them both. I did and there really is no comparison. Not sure what you mean by electronics package. Short of the NAV, my 2SS has an ipod doc (USB Port) that tunes through the radio head, blue tooth, On-star, etc.... If you like the Mustang, buy it, but it's no Camaro.
