Ok I need to make it sound less raspy and under 200 bucks, how do i accomplish that with the muffler delete with a stock v6 exhaust?

Well for under 200, it really depends on how much you shop will charge for labor. Because if you want to do the muffler delete and get new tips too, it might be 200 just at that. To reduce rasp, you're going to want to buy a resonated x-pipe (part number 11386) and put that in place of your stock h-pipe. That should take care of the rasp. But if you buy the x-pipe, get new tips and get it all installed, I'd imagine it'd be more than the 200 you're looking to spend unless you do it all yourself.

Well I have a welder and my dad is really good at welding. So doing it all ourself how much do you think?

Doing it yourself, you will probably spend about 100 for the resonated x-pipe and don't know how much for the pipe you're going to need to connect after you cut off the mufflers. Also remember that you can't just buy a straight pipe and connect, you're going to need to get it bent.

If your going the delete route and getting the res xpipe, you should be using at least 2.5" pipes out the resonated xpipe to the rear. 3" is even better and most shops will charge maybe a $30 diff for the larger pipes and you will get a deeper sound from doing this.

But with that said, don't touch the pipes between the hpipe (xpipe) and cats as its 2.5" and has to stay that. If you go higher than you'll loose power from compression loss (loss of torq).

the magnaflow 11386 is a 2.5" product but you can still accomedate 3" pipes out the back end with a simple adapter that most shops have.

I would recommend getting it professionally installed... all parts (including X pipe, 3 in pipe, 3 1/2 in tips and labor) only cost about 395.00. to put that into prospective... MRT 2.0 cost 545.00 with the mufflers alone... so considering you will save a considerable amount of money I would say just get it professionally done...

I had my BBQ's cut out and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Yeah, its raspy, and its hella loud, and likely offends people, but I'm not trying to make it sound like a V8. People know its me thats for sure! hahahaha...

If your doing it your self I would even imagine it to be higher than 200. Your looking at 100 for the Res X-pipe, about another 60 bucks for the tips, and then what ever the pipes will cost. Remember that the pipes can not be straight and need to be bent and have the hangers to be able to be installed. Either way you look at it its going to cost more than 200 to have them done either professional or DIY
