Looking for TT kit that's CARB approved

I've been doing some research and don't know too much about turbos except I'll be running roughly 8psi on a stock ls3. It's a DD yet hits the 1/4 every chance it gets. I've looked into IPS, AGP, Granatelli, and Turbonetics and wanted to get a feel for what other opinions are out there about certain setups.

I believe the only CARB approved turbo system for the Camaro is the Turbonetics kit. Although I am betting if you can get someone to custom build you a twin turbo system that does not change the air intake and keeps the cats in stock location it would technically be legal.

so about 6-8psi turbonetics seems be ideal on a stock setup. another question is would a good ol heads and cam do just as good as this?

Not as far as drivability is concerned. A turbo on stock will run much better on the street than a head/cam car that will hit the same level of HP. I am referring to composure and street manners.

Will never happen unless they do something like the turbonetics with uturns. All the other kits replace the catpipes so they will never be able to get carb approval.

If you are in Vegas why do you care about california emissions?

my next base is looking like cali so I'm preparing for worst case. I'm currently in korea from nellis, NV and was wondering which setup would be better when I get back.

Do you have to get inspected in California? Can't you just keep your plates from home of record?

didn't think about that. my license has already expired so I'll need to ask DMV how that'll work when I get back stateside. hopefully it will be as easy as transferring the registration, yet nevada has emission laws also

What is your home of record?

You can even use your parents house if they are in a more favorable state. Now the only I'm not sure about is if the base in Cali will require an inspection to get a sticker to enter. I have been out for 9 years now so who knows what's different now.

home of record is maine and they have no laws about vehicle mods besides noise ordinance and certain aesthetics. I don't believe they have a sticker program for the base where most of my coworkers came from edwards.

Then I would go get some Maine plates and do whatever you want to the car and enjoy the benefits of being military
