Indeed - so does this mean that the stock exhaust does not have resonators? I was planning on deleting it them on my camaro, but that would save me some work.

So I'm curious what every plans on doing for their aftermarket exhaust. I've always been a fan of 40-series Flowmasters, but how does Borla compare in sound and performance?

You are correct, I was just saying they were trying to make it easier to give shock treatment to shunt by placing the battery in the trunk ....... shorter jumper cables the G8 is the same way.

So what is the top of the line Exhaust system?

I know Magnaflow is great, but is there something better than Magnaflow and Borla?

There really is no 'top of the line' it all comes down to what YOU think sounds the best. Any gains you would get from going, say from Borla to Magnaflow would be negligible. This is from my experience anyway.

Thats my experience as well. Although, I'm blending my exhaust system... Magnaflow cats, flowmaster mufflers. And, resonator delete since apparently they're there after all.

Why delete the resonator?

magnaflow for me too. Im prolly gonna put some magnaflow mufflers on as soon as i can and when headers are available ill be redoing the whole exhaust. LT headers then xpipe and then prolly magnaflow again. Not goin with cats, i live in louisiana and it easier to get an inspection sticker than it is to take a piss

I live in oklahoma, and we aren't even required to have inspection stickers. I'm still leaving the cats in place, though. I read some dyno testing that showed that a magnaflow high flow cat only loses 1-2 hp compared to straight pipe. So, four horses and I'm helping the environment. Sounds good enough for me.

I just want to hear what the stock exhaust sound like, then I'll decide from there. If I don't care for it then It'll probably be either Flowmaster, Dynomax or just straight pipes and let the cat converter be the muffler.
