I guess every car or dealer is a little difference. I bought mind on 4-11-12 and have FREE oil changes for at least the first year, and yes it includes oil filter, etc.

Well that depends on how you ask I belive and follow what
GM engineering says is the best choice to use in their vehicles. The correct weight and motor oil to use in your Camaro is Mobil 1 5W30 synthetic motor oil.The correct oil filters to use are Mobil 1 or AC Delco oil filters.Rather you choose to have your Chevrolet dealership service department do your oil changes or perform your own oil changes and keep your receipts that is your choice. I always do my own oil changes and they are easy to do. Also I would do my oil changes before the oil change indicator tells you to.

I know this is an old thread...
If you decide to change your own oil, keep your receipts and stick to the recommended oil type and grade. Nearly every oil filter that fits will be adequate, although there are some that are a better choice. Here's a guide my buddy wrote that covers changing the oil on his 2012 V6 Camaro
