C5 Caravan From Iowa

I know there was at least one other Iowa Camaro at C5 last year... Was it you? Anyone going from Iowa or from around the area? We are looking for people to Join up with again and thought it would be fun to travel with other Iowans... Any thoughts?

I am also currently undecided if I'm going or not, but if I do I'd like to make the trip with some other people. Omaha would be a good place to meet up since you guys live on the other side of the state....and I'd assume would be taking I-80

If you decide to go get ahold of me... Last year we hooked up with the GM bunch and the Cinci bunch from the north. Too far for them this year... I plan on stopping at Hennessey Performance in TX. Probally on the way down... Looks like a blast, two days of track time will be great.

Havok we might be able to work something out... Did you get all your parts installed yet? Dose it corner better? I still am thinking of ordering suspension parts for mine. First we need to replace an engine in our tile plow. Ask your brother if he has anyone that would want to buy a Deutz V10 air cooled?
Camaros and vettes, you don’t want to trailer the car... not when it drives so nice!!! On our trip down to Valdosta we averaged 27 mpg. With two days of hard driving and the trip back we still had a round trip average of 24.7 mpg. It is cheaper and more fun to drive, not to mention the thrill of being in a huge caravan when people drop what they are doing to watch the “Camaro” drive by…

i know it drives nice, the concern is having three to four people riding it, cause i will not sit in the back of my own car!! i don't want to trailer it, but i cant tell my wife that she cant go nor can i tell my buddies wife that she cant either.

I understand your situation. My wife wants to go along this time but I told her my brother really wants to go again. If he goes I may never get to drive her 69SS Camaro again. My brother is a lot of fun but driving the 69 whenever I want is more fun. At this point we are at a stalemate. I belive a peaceful solution can be reached and we all will be happy.

Just passed trough your area yesterday, stopped at ADS along the interstate and got parts for the snowmobile at Fast City Arctic Cat. Steve, the owner of Fast City has an orange 2SSRS. i see him out once and awhile...

James, as the date gets closer I may be calling you to see if you have anyone available to go through the car and its driving capabilities with me. I have some experience but your guys can teach me a lot. I may also be getting a hold of you to discuss performance upgrades for my car.

Thanks for a great car… Roy...
