Can Any Dealer Order a ZL1?

I was wondering if any dealer can order a ZL1, or if it on allocation and some dealer searching/wrangling is required.

They will need an allocation from gm. This applies to all vehicles but most don't have problems with the regular vehicles

Well obviously you can't go to a Ford Dealership.

...and that goes with all models across the line....how many are they allowed to ask for with a reasonable amount of expectation to receive, and there is nothing that is set in stone with that number either, and often the offered value is not met, especailly with new models.

Simple answer, no.
Well, order, yes any Chevrolet dealer can, technically. But not every one can get.

To really dumb it down,.... it's an earn & turn system. Using all Camaro as an example: for every model a dealer sells, they are potentially allocated another Camaro. More sales = more 'allocation' or units to order.
Within that, low production models like ZL1, there is only so many to go around. To be 'fair', they are allocated to( earned by) the top volume Camaro selling dealerships. Working their way back til all production to be built is assigned, or more to the case, spoken for.
Smaller sized stores, & presumably smaller volume dealers would not get an opportunity. As an example: For 2012MY, only 99 (of the initial production run of 1,971) were allocated for Canada, via CDN dealers. 99 cars for about 470 dealers. Disburse!
Similar story for SS, or Synergy Edition, Hot Wheels, etc etc. when there is not almost unlimited capacity to build, IE low production cars, there is no guarantee your dealer can get allotment for such a vehicle from GM.

If another dealer who has one in stock, is willing to trade or sell to a different dealer who has a sale for it, they are free to work that out between themselves.
