Passenger door lock actuator
Anyone have the issue arise where the passenger lock pin will not unlock or lock the door by the electronic switch? All lock buttons will not raise the passenger door lock. I can manually unlock it by opening the door handle from inside the car, but not having a key hole unlock on the passenger door makes it difficult to let passengers in. I google searched and forum searched, and after several combinations haven't found a solution or similar complaint.

I don't know about the Camaro specifically, but lock actuator failures are common on almost every make/model. If you don't hear the actuator working then likely it has gone bad. You'll need to remove the door panel and test it.

I indeed do not hear the actuator responding or actuating. I'll just have to track down another and try swapping it out. Thanks.

The car can be set up so that only the driver's door opens remotely. That can be changed to both doors.
Go to the "Vehicle Personalization" section of the owner's manual to see how. |
