with the oncoming cafe ratings, the car in it's present form MAY be short lived!..
"big brother" is clampin' down, and cars have to get better fuel mileage!..just a hunch, but possible you will be seeing a lot of 4 bangers with blowers in the future!..dunno!..just sayin!

Not necessarily. The 6th gen will be lighter and smaller, but there's no telling what it'll look like.

Chevrolet will always compete with Ford, so don't be suprised if you see them keep squeezing HP out somewhere.

But of course the HP Edition has an increase HP obviously, so if your looking for another Camaro with more HP you might want to go that route.

Nobody but GM designers know what the next one will be like. We all just have to wait and see. Enjoy the 5th generation while you wait!

Well my best guess is that GM will stick with the current body style or even a very similar style when it is moved to the Alpha platform as long as it keeps selling in good numbers. I bet there will be a moderate redesign with the Alpha platform at the very least. It would benefit GM to make the newest Camaro look even better than the outgoing model.

I don't see GM sticking with this body style at a smaller scale. The magazines have ripped up our Gen5s from the practical sense because of it's limited visability. This is because we chose style over visability. Like it or not, our Gen5 look will wear after a few years.

I think the Gen6 will look something like a Gen2 but in a Gen3 footprint.

I keep my cars about 10-12 years. Fits in with my financial plans so I really dont have to concern myself with the change.Heck next time I buy a car it may look like toaster and all electric!

How long did Gen 1 stick around? It will be what it will be. Enjoy the rebirth......
