I agree . Although it's only 1/4" below what turbonetics says to do.. but even their location seems low to me..I should be starting it up in thee next week or so ... so I'll let everyone know how that goes...lol

If anything, you can always plug it back up and drill another hole.

Yah that's what I plan to do . I expect drainage issues but I'm going to see what it does at idle and go from there ..

In other news spark plugs came in... just wraping up wires and small odds and ends.. should be firing it up in the next week sometime

In case anyone is interested ..the zl1 bumper does not clear the turbonetics intercooler. . Here's were I'll have to trim ... any suggestions on blades or ways to do this as cleanly as possible .. I expected this to be the east part too lol .. teach me to continue making assumptions

are you sure?
I have the ZL1 front end And I had 0 issues with the lower grill.
only thing I trimmed was some of the side plastics and the original lower air duct. nothing from the zl1 bumper or lower grill.
if you want I can take some pictures....

Huh... mine wouldn't go on at all it wasn't even close... I do have a custom intake set up.. however it was hitting both sides ...but anyways I went big. And cut out the portion that was hitting ..and all is well. I found the lower grill piece replacement for 150 bucks so I figured I'd risk it .. I wouldn't mind seeing pics of your set up anyhow though for comparison. I think it came out looking pretty clean.. function over fashion I suppose haha.

I didn't do anything special to make it fit, meaning all the Turbo components installed where they were supposed to. the trimming I did to the side plastics was 1 because I wanted a clean look and two for the subtle changes to the zl1 lower grill.

Huh interesting... lol . I have a small bend in my passengrr fender from where an ( uninsured and unlicenced)Mustang drriver of all things hit me.. that I haven't gotten fixed yet because it's hardly noticeable .. Im guessing that could be throwing off my bumper alignment just enough to make it hit... well either way I swear it wouldn't go on haha. I know with the intake I have wasnt fitting ...anyways .. Thanks for the pics! I scoured the forums looking for a zl1 bumper with a turbonetics intercooler lol.

Thanks camaross sleeper for hooking me up with this fitting . People going out of their way for each other is what makes this community so great. Finished up the install .. just waiting on my tune file to come back . Then I'll load it and fire this thing up ... I had some of the ac and refrigerant guys at my work braze it to ensure it doesn't leak. Probly over kill but the end product was good . I'll post a video of the car asap hopefully ..

I find it funny that no one says a thing about water on this kit, even though the air filter is lower than AGP kits. Either way it isnt an issue.
