Thumbs-Up from a Mustang Driver!

...Shame on you, those who thought I was driving my Cobalt when it happened ....

Actually...I was driving this:

I decided to take a drive around the city, and I figured I'd get off the highway for a little stint, and I'm glad I did!!

As I was rolling down a city street, a blue Mustang rolled up behind me and switched lanes. I decided to slow down just a little so I could get a better look, and the gentlemen in the Mustang beeped and gave me a grin and a thumbs up!!

We came to a stoplight and I stretched over to roll down the window and we chatted for a few seconds about the car; he had lots of questions, and informed me he had an '87 Camaro at home.

I had to turn left while he went straight ahead, so when the light turned green.....we both "made a little noise"...and that's all I'll say about that. (though I think the Chevy 350 held it's own in the sound department 32 years later...)

And that was it. As the sun began to drop below the horizon over the lake, I popped back on the highway. That incident put a smile on my face the whole way back, and even took a few more stares on the way home.

Nice car!

I also got the thumbs up from a Mustang driver the other day. He was in either a 2010 or 2011 GT and gave me the thumbs up as we passed each other in my 2011 2LT/RS. Nice to see everyone sharing the love.

Perhaps the stang drivers have heard about the possible plant closing and are looking for other options...

Apparently when the dealer sold this car to my father in '79, they told him it was an ugly color combo and tried to advise him against it every time he came in during the ordering process.

Great story! I give any pony car driver a thumbs up or a nod just for supporting the big 3! At the end of the day whether you drive a Ford, Chevy, or Mopar doesn't matter...what matters is supporting our Detroit automakers and their workers and keeping the streets of the USA rumbling with American muscle!
