Dash replacements

Since seeing the COTW I've been really looking at dash replacements...not really sure as to the technical term. The stereo area is the only thing I'm not super fond of about the Camaros. I'd never really thought about replacing it until I saw the COTW, but now that I have seen it I've decided that's going to be the next mod. I've been doing research and planned on hitting up an audio store soon, but I'm looking for some advice on what to get.

What I'm looking at now is http://www.amazon.com/Metra-99-3010S...7918951&sr=8-1 The same thing the COTW OP has and http://www.amazon.com/Pyle-PLDN74BTI...920627&sr=1-12 that screen, but looking on their website the actual dimensions are 7.26" x 4.08" x 6.36" so I don't really know if there will be a problem putting it in since I'm totally new to this.

If anyone has any experience with all this stuff and could recommend a different setup or know if this would work fine that would be awesome.

Yeah, what alpine kits are you talking about? I see the Scoshe http://www.scosche.com/car-audio/product/2256 looks pretty good but looks like that only allows for a 6.1 screen and isn't available yet apparently.

I don't really want to get a screen with nav in it since they're way more expensive than what I want to pay. I prefer my droid gps more than any other ones I've seen anyway.

Wait for the 2013 dash panel parts to become available, and then make your decision.

My set up for now:

Some of us have the Scoche dash kits. They do have some problems with them I have none but that was after calling ts and having it replaced. Google scoche gm5201b and you will find some places that have them but be carefull. The scoche will accept a 7 in screen size double din. I have a 7 in installed
As jeepguy_1980 stated wait until it announced that the 2013 Camaro dash kit is listed but it probaly going to be in the $3000 + range.
