Congratulations! I honestly can not think of a thing to "look out" for. Roto-Fab CAI is a great mod IMO. Enjoy and Welcome to your ZL1 !!!

Congrats! make yourself a set of front rock guards (checkout the diy section) asap and you will be thanking yourself. These tires pick up every little spec of sand, pebbles, and rocks on the road

Ashen Gray Metallic, Great Color! And a Manual to Boot! Now that's gana be some FUN to drive. Like previously mentioned, the Clear Bra is Very Very important to protect the paint. I'd get the Rock/Splash Guards to protect the sides/gills/paint as well. The tires (front) are so wide they grab all the road debris and fling it back. Lots of folks on here sell them, I got mine from One-Bad-ZL1, he has the Best Price going and they take ten minutes a piece to install. Lastly, lots highly recommend a Catch Can, I've got one on order and next the Roto Fab! Good luck and I know you're going to be having some serious fun!

The car is a beast.....I always thought my SS was a beast of a car but the ZL1 just feels angry and pissed off at the world and ready to prove it. My buddy has a 2012 GT500 which is an amazing car in its own right (which I have driven) but the ZL1 has twice the feel and feedback plus the blower sings it's sweet music at a much more audible level than the Mustangs.

So with that being said any advice to a new owner?
Things to watch out for?

The only option my car didn't include which I regret not having is the exposed carbon fiber hood insert. First mod will be blacked out emblems and a RotoFab intake.

Thanks and super happy to be a member of the ZL1 club!!!!
Michael
Congratulations Michael!

That's a superb looking vehicle you picked up there! Great choice with the ZL1. Drive safe out there and don't hesitate to contact us with any concerns.

All the best,

William R.

Not at all. My IOM was moderately modded and so far there is still nothing the ZL1 can't do much better than it did performance or comfort-wise. Plus the peace of mind in knowing the car was deigned around the features help as well.
1. I was able to afford it comfortably
2. The wife gave the green light
3. You only live once

The break-in is killing me though!!!!

Cool Follow that break in.

Watch all the videos on here and youtube.
If No One told you at the dealer there is a complete series of these you need to watch
I learned ALOT
and I've owned every corvette there is.

The only thing i have to tell you is 4000 rpm 60 mph
for 1500 of the longest miles you will ever drive sir.

But its worth it to protect the ride.
