What to expect from the TRANSMISSION tune (JRE)?

I've been trying to educate myself with all the info here but I'm not clear on a few details. Could use some info, especially pertaining to the JRE tune. I really like the idea of keeping an SCT tuner in the car rather than a laptop ;-

1: The Stock "D" setting is a dog. All it wants to do is get to 6th gear ASAP. I find myself using the "sport" (M) setting all the time because it mildly improves the shifting by holding gears longer, etc. What are the differences between D and M on the Jannetty trans tune? I remember reading that the Vector tune sets torque mgmt at something like 50% in D mode and goes much less or ZERO in M more. It sounds like Vector sets M mode more for track use. Is ZERO TM acceptable for everyday driving? I'd like to keep it in M mode using the auto so that I can tap the buttons when I want to shift and not have to move from D to M.

Is the JRE tune also more aggressive in M mode? How so?

2: What other "options" have to be chosen by the buyer on the Jannetty tune? AFM on/off in either D or M mode? Speed limiter?

thanks

Hey Ted,

This is a little off topic buit I have a quetion regarding my SCT X3 unit. I have installed your tune already and evreything is great!

My question is if or when I ever need to go back to my stock tune is it already saved onto the SCT X3 or will I have to re-load it from my conputer to the SCT again?

I was wondering if both the OEM tune and your JRE tune are now both saved on the SCT hand held unit and I would not have to re-load either of those tunes again from my computer?

Thanks again for youre help.

Yes the SCT stores your Factory tune and the JRE tune so you can return to stock and or Reload the JRE tune any time, anywhere.

Thanks.

Ted.

Will one SCT work on multiple vehicles and keep all the various tunes onboard? For example, could I use it with my camaro and ford expedition, etc?

Wow, this has me thinking... can I tune the boat engine too? There must be something cool you can do to a Mercruiser 496 mag.

Sorry 1 tuner for Each Vehicle, and Fords use a different part number as well as Chrysler products.
