Can I Swap Steering Wheel with 2013 Equinox
I know this may sound crazy to most everyone, but I am wondering if I could swap out my 2013 Camaro Steering Wheel with the Equinox LTZ steering wheel? they have the same exact controls, look almost the same except for the awesome bottom grip on the equinox version, I drive with my left hand at the 6 o'clock position in my avalanche and the Camaro steering wheel is driving me crazy, especially with a manual trans... the ability to get my hand in the bottom center grip would be real comfortable advantage to me. If you ever sat in a equinox and felt how comfortable it is you would most likely agree. So if any of you out there can share some advice regarding this it would be very much appreciated!

I'm not sure why GM filled the bottom grip with useless plastic on the camaro wheel? It's not like it looks better, kind of stupid if you ask me. My CTS is the same way, very aggravating to say least...

only one way to find out. The camaro steering wheel will only go on one way. it has 3 splines that stick out more and one of those is wider. I'm pretty sure GM wouldnt change the wiring for the switches and the air bag. I'm almost positive the Saturn wheel and malibu wheels I have sitting the garage have the same wiring. its just the splines wont line. on the older model gm cars you had to mark where the wheel was before you pulled it off to get it back to center. the Camaro wheel doesnt matter.
EDIT: Went to ebay and pulled equinox steering for 2011 and 2012 and the splines look to be the exact same as the camaro. now we just need to know if the controls has the same connector.

Easy solution is to drive with left hand in either 7,8,10,11 or 12 o'clock position.

I think I just might try it! Everything looks the same from what I can see online, not sure the actual overall size of the wheel itself is? But I'm Gonna check with the dealer tomorrow to see what they say, but I don't expect much from them as they are usually pretty useless...

Dealer tells me it should work and is pretty sure they would swap out no problem, but he also said they would not do it and if I did, it will void my warranty, what else is new...arrggg! I should have bought used 2010. I guess I will stick the stock wheel for now...

Sucks man. I do agree with you though, my wife has a 2012 Equinox, and I usually do drive with my hand at the bottom as well. Wish the Camaro had that opening too.
Don't really see how they could void your warranty for it though.... hmmmm sounds odd.
