What was even scarier than just their raw power and speed was how easily the rear wheels broke loose and made those things drift in all sorts of directions...

This was a lot of fun to watch.
I'd like to see them do three runs on the last race with the tuners tweaking their cars between runs.

With the old school solid rear it was no match for the Camaro around the track.

Also the Camaro did Great with the stock brakes..

GREAT SHOW will watch next week........

Im with you on this one! A super-charger would have stood a better chance against that GT500 than the turbo setup because what they noticed is on the top end speed run it seemed as if the turbo just went flat. "---------------" I mean when they hit 100mph and GT500 shifted up another gear, OMG it was over. The GT500 literally blew past the thing as if it wasn't putting out anymore power. Perhaps the turbo's peak power was reached down low?

But to say the Camaro has "100" less horsepower, it kept up with the GT500 pretty good. It won around the track and the gap between them at the end of the top speed run wasn't that large. Nice how the Camaro performed with mostly stock parts too. Fastlane did an amazing job with the car given they're preparation time.

It's something though, both of those car are great builds but both suffer from the same problem all high hp cars suffer from.....wheel-spin. That can make or brake you in a drag-race. I looked twice when I heard the GT500 was getting wheel-spin at 100mph lol. That's ridiculous power.

Change the rear gears to 3.73 or 3.9 and the outcome would have been different. I suspect the GT500 had 3.73 or lower gears givng it an edge. Either way it was great to watch.

that was a great show. i think Jude's car did GREAT for it only having had the LSX block put in only a few days before the show. just remember, if the turbo that needs to be on the camaro was on there for that show, it wouldn't have been close, so I'll back the turbo vote. i think that smaller turbo was like a NFL player breathing through a straw, but they still made it preform amazing. i still am amazed how fastlane pulled that off with only a couple days notice.

i also read where Cole stated that the mustang had over $20k more into it than the camaro.

Jude's car was making 758 rwhp on that show. i also know that they didn't use his Asanti wheels at Jude's request due to the cost of new tires

i think if the other wheels were on the car the braking would have been even better and it would have had more traction for sure IMO

The turbo on the camaro was too small for the 7.0 engine. That is why the camaro fell off at the top end and that is the only reason..

I have to say that the GT500 was a beastly machine. I loved watching both cars but I thought the GT500 looked more aggressive and intimidating. Kudos to Fastlane for a hell of a Camaro they put together for the show.

Why not spec out the right turbos in the first place. I was amazed the Camaro stopped in a shorter distance that the stang considering the stang had aftermarket brakes.
