Official Pete Rose "Hit King" Camaro
Has anyone ever seen this before?
I found a little data on it. A Cincinnati / Chevrolet project. Only 27 made. Maybe has Pete Rose signature on the engine cover. Has emboridered head rests almost like the side badge...couldnt get the pics because of glare. |

Does it come with a custom car cover that looks like Pete Rose' $hitty haircut?

Seems anyone will slap on some vinyl graphics and some badges to make a buck.

"Charlie Hustle"... 4,256 hits. Most likely a record that will stand for all time. Now that Jeter has retired, the next closest active player is Alex Rodriguez w/ 2,939.
FYI: A couple of other records Rose has that will likely never be broken: 14,053 At Bats. Next closest active player is Alex Rodriguez w/ 9,818. 3,562 Games Played. Next closest active player is Alex Rodriguez w/ 2,658. *A-Rod is 39 years old... ain't gonna happen.

I'd "bet" against this being a "hit". No matter what "position on the field" of dreams, I'd "hustle" away from that POS like a "liar" on fire. I suppose some dealer "manage"d to come up with a way of "throwing" together some stripes and do-dads and thought he'd come up with a "home run" but he came up short.....

I grew up in Cincinnati in the 60's and 70's. Pete was a pompous ass in every way. But you cannot discount that his on field performance was one for the ages.
If you came up next year to the bigs, had a 200 hit season in every one of your 20 year career, you come up short of his hit mark. And that will never happen. The Camaro? Eh, it's OK.

MLB never had any formal finding of evidence related to his gambling allegations. Pete Rose voluntarily placed himself on the ineligible list. He allegedly bet on the games. |
