Poor guy and car. I think that brings the number down to 1882 on the road. Thats why you leave the nannies on till you get used to the car.

Impressed how intact the passenger compartment is. Other than the deployed airbags, remarkably untouched. We may complain about how "fat" these cars are, but gotta appreciate the safety.

I believe this is member CAM ZL1's car. If I remember correctly this accident was due to malfunction in the car and GM was buying it back. It was not due to negligence on the owners part or driving recklessly with the "nannies" off. He is lucky he wasn't seriously injured in the accident based his description in the previous thread.

Guess just because someone owns a ZL1 doesn't mean they know how to drive it.

If I recall correctly, it was the electronic steering wiring harness that was damaged (pinched between brackets in the engine compartment) during assembly in Oshawa.... Essentially an accident waiting to happen.

Hope CAM ZL1 is back on the road again and in perfect health.
(Airbags can cause injuries too - like a broken left hand/arm on drivers window for instance)

It may be the case , but the alternative would have been more pain full [ airbags can cause injuries too ]

Wasn't he the guy that was having his car replaced by GM due to some sort of issue with an oil leak prior to this wreck? If I remember correctly the engine was replaced and the car was still leaking oil before they found out what the issue was and GM already had him a replacement car being built.
