This is actually a good point and something to consider…thanks

Raspy??? Never ever heard any kind of raspy sound out of mine.

From your description it sounds like you are describing the Magnaflow 2.5" Comp system. The 3" (16483) is a totally different setup that has the Tru-X x-pipe along with a set of mufflers.

I have the 3" comp mated to SW 2" LT's. Really raspy. A buddy of mine Drago77 has the 2 1/2" Also mated to SW headers and his is raspy too. However, it should be noted that we both currently run cat delete. Although it was still raspy with Stock manifolds and HF's Another buddy of mine running the SW headers dumped his Magnaflow and went to Corsa and all the rasp is gone. The only great thing is i have ZERO drone at ANY speed or RPM. Mind you, the rasp doesn't really much bother me at all. That said two people have complained about it riding in my car.

Well....maybe our definitions of raspy are different. I will say that your car does seem to sound louder that what I have but that might be a difference in audio quality from the video camera. Also, I'm sure you're going to hear more from a convertible with the top down vs someone in a hard top.

Mine sounds more like this one. Although I'll also say that the top end of the revs sound better in person. Again, hard to always capture on video.

Hehe. Should have been clear. The vids above are my buddies 2.5 with headers and cat delete. I have a coupe with the 3" and 2" LT's. Yours sounds similar to mine on what I could hear. Bit lesser volume but, that's probably just video. Yours also sounds pretty raspy to me lol.

Does ur friends 2.5" magnaflow w/LTs drone any ?
And from the vids that's not what I was thinking raspy is.

I run Kooks 1 7/8 headers, no cats, Magnaflow Street catback. Guys at the Chevy dealership tell me its the best exhaust setup they've heard.

Not too loud, but nice and aggressive at WOT. Nice quiet cruise.

That is one of my favorite setups as well. Nice and civil and still aggressive when you want it to be.

Best regards,

I have kooks 1 7/8", hf cats, and kooks street sleeper 2 1/2" cat back. I love the sound of it. Can't really hear it cruising down the road but sounds really good (to me) at wot. It has zero rasp and VERY little drone but I also added a magnalfow res x-pipe to help with this. Youtube scotts 2010 camaro there is a couple small clips of it.

I have kooks 1 7/8 headers with HF cats, my exhaust is not a magna flow but I have JBA 3" comp. exhaust, it sounds so mean at idle and taking off but I will admit that in higher gears it has alil drone but in 6gears it has a lot of drone if below 2k rpm, but I almost never use 5-6gears so I really don't care for it. Bought most of my stuff from Tyler at JDP Motorsport, great people and quality product, if you need help call them
