2012 SS TF3 stock vs BMW 335i modded Qualcomm San Diego 7/13/2012

Had a chance to take my SS out to the 1/8 mile drags last night...It became obvious that I am going to have to spend a lot of time learning to launch this bad boy....anyway here is a video of my best race of the night (time wise)...

1.036 Reaction (yes I know terrible)
2.30 60 ft
85.39 MPH
9.060 ET

beemer ran a 9.124 @ 83.95 MPH

My car is stock (with muffler deletes) and any tips/advice on launching/improving my #s is muuuuch appreciated.... btw I did try the launch control and when using it I had my worst time of the night.... 10.01 (spun thru 1st and 2nd)

Any tips suggestions to get these numbers lower ? I assume lower tire pressure will help the traction ? What's a good Psi to run? What number should I expect to see for
A stock Ss ? I've read mid-high 8s ? True ?

That is a HORRIBLE 60'. Feather the clutch, not dump it.

What he said. I'm very bad about dumping the clutch at the line too. My mistake was I started racing with a car with sticky, wide tires and no power but now I've progressed up to a car with relatively narrow tires that are fairly sticky but the engine makes much more power. Hard to keep traction dumping the clutch on this thing...

Yeah dont dump the clutch and dont try to take off like a bat out of hell, much better to roll into the throttle and spin a lil than rev the krap out of it and leave half your tires at the tree haha. Also if your on STREET tires, as in NOT a drag radial AVOID the water box at all costs.
