You are posting on a Camaro forum so it surprises me that you find it difficult to believe people here value a car with track capabilities. Chevy values, you know...

Perhaps you'd find a more receptive audience in SRT land?

Has Dodge changed its 2015 warranty policy to accommodate racing with the Hellcat?

nor does GM. Look at fellow members incident with the air bag deploying and they will not cover it.

What % of 1LE, Z/28 owners will ever see a track event, how many of this minute percentage will ever be capable of extracting anywhere near the limits of the car, without fear of wrecking it? There is a reason these cars quickly go up for sale.

I noticed this theme in other areas of this forum also. I think many have forgotten that our Camaro's are street cars that perform well on the track but are no where near being race cars.

The ZL1 has a section in the manual covering proper operation and maintenance at the track and strip. Performance Traction Mode (PTM) and Launch Control.

If you misuse the car (such as deploying an air bag) I can see where you would have a problem.

Go to 1:50 mark on this video and hear Al Oppenheiser himself say if you blow the motor at the track it will be covered.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=284728

So are you saying the 707 HP with a warranty Hellcat cannot be raced?

Yes, but dont get it twisted, GM wont cover racing. Going to the road track doesnt necessarily mean racing. I've been to the road course track many times in performance driving sessions but was never in a race.

On another note. Awesome video......

Once again, it proves that the ZL1 IS the most capable and overall best Camaro ever built. Better than the 1LE & Z/28 because it does ALL things well.

U.S. HELLCAT ordering scheduled to open August 8th (Canada already open).

Retail HELLCAT production starts August 4th.

Projected 2015MY production: >3,000 units
Just for curiosity went down to the Dodge dealer where I live. I told them I was interested in a Hellcat. Guy said on the phone he understood I didn't want to pay over MSRP. They said they had two invoices for cars that were ordered. Anyway to make a long story short there is a 5K mark up on the cars they are getting. I live in Ontario Canada. Doesn't the consumers protection act protect against this in Ontario???? Any Canadian guys in Ontario experience this. I got a discount on both ZL1's that I bought, and I was luck to get my GT500 for invoice.

And Canadians from Ontario out there?

If you were really interested I could give you a name of someone that you can talk to in Brampton
I have not talked to him about the Hellcat yet so I could not say if they are doing that or not.

So that puts at about 65k now?

No that would put it at 69k Canadian, I would wait a bit see if they get rid of the markups if I was not able to find a dealer that would sell at MSRP

Just saw 2 commercials on Velocity. It was one of those things where they rev the engine and show small parts of the car, if you know, you knew.

I was looking at the tv screen like a kid in a candy store!
