1st 4 passes in 2011 SS

WOW, this thing is slow!

1st, I got no time cause the lights were screwed up.

2nd, stock tune, left TC on
60' 2.252
1/4 14.16 @ 101.31
DA 3299
corrected 13.60 @ 105.5

3rd, ECM tune (leaned out and no TM), TC off
60' 2.14
1/4 14.18 @ 100.69
DA 3519
corrected 13.58 @ 105.2

4th, ECM tune (leaned out and no TM), TC off
60' 2.18
1/4 14.28 @ 100.82
DA 3519
corrected 13.63 @ 105.4

5th, ECM tune (leaned out and no TM), TC off
60' 2.169
1/4 14.188 @ 101.06
DA 3618
corrected 13.56 @ 105.8

granted it was HOT and humid, but I was still pretty dissapointed. was expecting mid/high 13's in the heat. no idea why my tuning was basically doing nothing. no TCM tuning capability yet.

Is yours an LS3 or L99? If an L99 might need the fuse pull to put it back on the high octane fuel map. LS3 might be driver mod...Lol.. j/k Otherwise not sure. I have an L99 w/ headers, cai and a tune and ran 12.22@113.29

Bolt on best before blower 12.22@113.29 w/ nothing but ARH headers, catted x-pipe, ADM CAI and a tune on stock Pzero`s!

Other car 2008 C6 Ls3, z51, A6, Npp Exhaust, best bonestock pass 11.80@118.82, Number 2 on the Corvette Forums Bonestock fastest list..

I'm guessing an L99 A6

First off 3200 ft. - 3600 ft. DA is going to really slow you down. Your 60' times are ok, but there's plenty of room for improvement.

Your corrected trap speeds are 105-106 mph which are very acceptable for a stock L99. You can easily run very low 13s with 105-106 mph trap speeds with decent 60' times (2.0 or so).

My guess is in better air (no where close to 3200 ft DAs) with slightly faster 60' times you'd be running those low 13s you expected to see.

yep, L99. It does not need a fuse pull. I've had them out a dozen times doing AFM and playing with PE and TM a bit. If nothing else, I'll just copy the low octane table to the high. not like I'm ever going to run anything less than 91 anyway.

thanks for the feedback, thats a little encouraging. Guess I need to play around with launching a little more. i had almost no TnT time, was running in an index heads up race.

12.22 is awesome with headers/tune/CAI. I've got an ADM CAI in my hands now and will order headers soon.

Driver mod #1. Just need more seat time.
I cut 1.9x 60 fts on stock tires with a stock car and Hypertech tuner. .3 at the front is .3 at the end, maybe .4. Just saying. And like the other guy said, your DA is part of a factor...compare apples to apples.

More seat time is going to make an automatic faster?

Jokes, man. Jokes. A 1.9 isnt going to do much for him when he's barely pushing 100 on the big end, and he's slower tuned then stock. 10% rule may apply here.

Actually .1 in the 60 is worth .15 at the end of the 1/4 on every car I`ve owned and raced, and there have been many trips to the track since 97. So if he was to cut .3 off the 60 he should see .45 off at the end of the 1/4. The theory of .1 in the 60 is worth .2 in the 1/4 does not hold up on any car I`ve owned and raced but .1 in the 60' = .15 in the 1/4 was the number on almost every slip.

Same on my car on the 1.5 gain from the 1 in the 60'! So considering the passes corrected to mid 13's for the weather conditions. It could easily be a low 13 second car with better weather and working on launching it!

Alot of people are disappointed in there cars performance at the track because they get on this site to try and compare there cars to the ones on here Stock or with the same mods. You honestly cant do that and be happy with the outcome. Most of the top runs on here were ran in IDEAL conditions and have killer 60's. For an auto car thats damn near all you need for a great pass. Stick cars can be a lil more challenging on hitting the gears. Dont give up on it on think you were sold a lemon. Keep practicing and go back this Fall and Im sure you will like the results!

like others said, .1 60' is worth about .15-.2 in the 1/4. I've made hundreds of passes at the track to verify this along with others statements.
