4th gen vs 5th gen camaro question for those who have owned both.

How would you compare lets say 1996 z28 Camaro to 2000 z28 ss performance wise and the way they drive stock compared to 2010 to 2013 Camaro ss? And how do the v6 Camaros compare 4th gen to the 5th gen?

I have owned 2 4th gen V6 Camaros a 96 and a 97. I loved them both, BUT the 2012 that I own now is hands down the better car. The handling is WAY better, more nimble and sure footed in the corners, less body roll. The auto trans shifts cleaner, more power. You don't have to do the "fall in and climb out" as bad as the 4th gen. Oh and no floor bump on the passenger side.

I had a '95 Z28 and now a '14 SS 1LE. Zero, zilch comparison, the 5TH Gen is leaps and bounds better in avery catagory, except weight.

94 formula 6 spd with a cam 13.2 1/4

99 z-28 with cam 6spd 12.6 1/4

10 ss 6spd with cam. 12.1 1/4

The 2010 is leaps ahead in comfort and style. But by far my favorite car was my 94 formula, Lt1 6spd 4.10 gears and a medium cam. Donuts everywhere and drift the **** out of it. Cloth base interior but I loved that car.

I owned my 2001 Z/28 for 14 years purchased October 2001, I purchased my 2010 2LT/RS in October 2009. My 2001 left the garage maybe 10 times from 2009 until I sold it November 2015.

My 2010 has a V6 but it was way more fun to drive over my V8 sure it lacked the torq but I do not miss my V8.

I've owned a 02 trans am, 00 c5 and now the 11 2ss. Since your only asking stock i loved the solid axle in the ta. The body flexed a bunch until sfc were added.

I think styling went to the 4th Gen as that car still turns head,. but overall driveability, technology and comfort goes to the 5th gen.
