You would want a thermal barrier on the inside to cut down on the rate of heat transfer to the air passing by. On the outside there are coatings that help release the heat into the surrounding air. I have done this with highly modified all aluminum TPI intake systems with some success.

With the Vararam intake system I don't see that as an issue with the plastic. Plus the throttle body is in the stock position so you can use your existing cold air intake system.
The one that is available is fastest... lol

Vararam OTR intake, or the complete intake manifold that doesn't exist?

There is only a small amount of unobtanium a critical component needed to dielectrically grease the wombazile a sliding form grinder from when the casting of the atomically dispersed phenolic resin is laser welded in place molecule by molecule, thank god they had enough to make up a few trial examples to tease us with as they are busy making ones for a copo........... and we suck it because we are future maybe money maker and then others would steal their idea once in hand because unlike them they have lots of unobtanium on hand mined from the DNC computers via Russian miners...

I hate it when I put faith in someone and trust in what they promise.....only to learn later that it's a misplaced trust.

At this point in time there's nothing Vararam makes that I'll buy.

Yes

Kind of like, our parents and the promise of Santa Clause.

It was a bitter pill to swallow, but as a young lad, you quickly moved on.

Most of us have been scarred, BUT consequently conditioned.

Never again I say.

Never again.

Vararam doesn't even make anything that fits my car, so I'm not worried.

I was told they'd be bringing the OTR-style intake to my 2012, for..... almost 5 years. Still nothing--and THAT'S just a CAI.

Supposedly the Vararam VR-X intake manifold will be shown at the SEMA show at the end of October. So only a few weeks away. I also was told they have made enough parts to sell 800 units. Dyno charts and other material is supposed to be available at the show. Has anyone heard anything?

I'm over it too. I saw a article the other day and the new FAST manifold with the long runners might be the key to stay LS3 heads. If you are willing to go small bore LS7 the MSD manifold looks better.
