Smashed my 1st love bug this morning!!

Well boys and girls it’s that time again here in Florida, Love Bug season. These little bugs can do severe damage to your paint if left for an extended period of time.

So as a reminder:
1- Be sure to always check the front of your car and mirrors after driving
2- Carry either a microfiber towel or sponge
3- Carry either a quick detail spray or spray wax, preferable both
4- Get those suckers off ASAP
5- Make sure to have a good coat of wax on the front of you car, this will help ease the removal process.

you can spray Pam (or any other non-stick cooking spray) on the front of your car and then just wipe them right off. will not harm your paint and makes it way easier to clean them off.

i don't live in Florida now but i did for a couple of years and learned this on the local news there. i did this to my cars there and it made clean up real easy.

I've read in the past that this is not a good option. Not really sure if it is or not though.

I used to live in Fort Myers and I HATED those things. Totally trashed my BMW every day!

And it gives them a great buttery taste, if you go that route, I'm just saying.

Monsoon season in AZ means more bugs outside than anyone could possible imagine. And the majority of the insects comprise of grasshoppers, and for some very frustrating reason, they like to hang out all over the roads and highways These things are so disgusting

This photo can't really do the damage done by those bugs justice. What a b**ch to clean the next day
