RX Catch Can issues after empty

I got my RX catch can 2 years ago and it performed very well. I've had issues after the most recent empty.
A rattle sound and oil leaking. The rattle sound is only when vehicle at idle or at a stop waiting for red light.
The oil leaking is around the centre valve, please refer to attached pictures.
Anyone with any information please help.
Thanks a lot.

Hit up Tracy or Matt at RX. They will get you squared away.

Contact Tracy (SC1250). Ask him what he thinks of the issue. Some have had problems with the valve in the center.

Sure sounds like the drain valve was mistakenly opened instead of closed. That will cause all your experiancing. Look at the valve....threads all the way out extended is closed, all the way in retracted is open. Simple fix.

The drain valve is closed. I recently ported the orifice valve and emptied the can. Maybe if that is the reason, any fix for that? Thanks a lot!

I was actually going to suggest it might be a clogged orifice . . . hmmm.

Did you put your finger on the end of the drain tube to make sure it's not pulling air? That's the best way for me to check to make sure the can is closed.

Yes I did the same. Checked the drain valve and it is closed.
Thanks for your help anyways!

What do you mean by porting the orifice valve?

It's a valve that easily get clugged, use a drill to port the holes a little bigger. You can refer to this thread:

I just putted a rubber gasket between the can and the connection point of my vehicle, the rattle sound almost disappeared but somehow still there at idle.

Not sure where this question would go and didn't want to start a whole new thread so here it goes:

So after storing my car for the winter I took off the IM so I could send it out to get ported. Now I do have a catch can but when I took off the plenum cover the inside of the IM was still covered in oil. I know my catch can works because I do drain it about once a month so idk. So my question is what gives?

Depends on the brand of catach can, and if you still have the clean side line intact (this allows backflow of oil laden vapors upstream of the TB.

Post detailed pictures so we can see how it is all run, etc.
