No AC/ sound deading/ base radio w 1 speaker <--- this is a true track car that is road legal. So it is not a direct competitor to the ZL1 but more of a weekend toy.

Hand built LS7 and the Carbon ceramic brakes (which are big $$$) are going to add a ton of cost. My guess is the shocks are pricy too. So add those in and it is not going to be cheap.

Agree it will be the same as ZL1 or more....

Only 100 less than the SS, so not huge weight reduction, I lost half of that just dumping the stock exhaust....

There are some foilers out there for our Camaros, I will try to find a pic. I think they may just be the perfect fit now. They never looked right before.

True, I have a feeling some people will buy one for the badge alone "Z/28". (The LS7 is also a plus )

My question is just how much of a stripper model is it? Can items be optioned back in like the radio, etc. Or is it an all or nothing package?

I'm not in the market for a new Camaro so it doesn't really matter to me but there are a lot of people who wanted a Z28 with an LS7 and all the other track parts that also want the creature comforts in spite of the few pounds they would add.

Air conditioning is only available as a stand-alone option

I wonder how insurers will look at the Z28 as its being promoted as a track car. My guess is some insurance companies will not be willing to insure it or charge through the roof.

what's the gearing?

That's what I was afraid of. The only people that will get one are the ones in the know. That's why it took me over a year of messing around too finally get a ZL1.

It sucks when you have money to spend and they won't sell a person what they want.

Lol. He was on a list with Becky, anyone could have called her and got on a potential list. Nothing was actually ordered before today.

Give Becky a call today, she'll help you too.
