Assuming that you haven't voided your powertrain warranty with a tune or other mods, you should get a good price for it. I got 20k for my 12 v6, but you will diffiently get more than that. If you like the look of the Stingray I would say get it. They look really good, but lack the power that the ZL1 brings.

I think you should trade your Camaro in and get a KIA Soul. Then you can drive around with one of those big rat heads on. You will get lots of attention that way.
Hey, YOU asked what we thought you should do. Don't shoot the messenger! |

Agreed. The new c7s are killer. They look amazing, but you could get an 09ish z06 and out that 10k-15ish can be put into mods!

The biggest depreciation hit you will take is at the 5 year mark when everything falls out of warranty.

From someone that has lost a pile of money over the years trading cars often, I would say keep your camaro. The new wears off quickly and then your back to wanting the next new thing. Only to find out that you just lost thousands more again. I've never been able to take my own advice because I'm basically nuts. Don't go down that path unless you have tons of disposable income.

Get the 'Vette right now. As soon as GM releases photos and specs of the 6th gen in January, AND assuming it is going to be good looking (not sure on that), and powered by a strong LT1 variant (100% positive on that), the 5th gen value will drop rather fast. They've been holding their value very well for the past 2-3 years, but when the newest model comes out it will fall faster.
