Aluminized is less durable to heat and corrosion than 304/409 but has better strength (at lower temps) and costs less. I would be willing to bet that stainless will crack before aluminized has any structural rust. Obviously you wouldn't use aluminized on a header or where there is alot of salt on the road.

Does anyone have this exhaust installed yet? Would like to hear some feedback on it.

PyPes Exhaust for v-6 NO GOOD!!!!

I put a set of these so called easy installation pypes on my 2010 Camaro a few weeks ago and had nothing but problems! Yes I called the tech line only for them to tell me to loosin the manifolds (from the underside of the car I might add,) not on a v-6 car maybe on a v-8. just to get the x pipe to line up then when that didn't fit the pipes hit the transmission vent tube ,then we the shop in town that builds race cars tryed to put the tail pipes to the hangers and yah that didn't fit so during all this and several calls to Dave the tech guy he said they didn't know what they were doing and to send pics so he could figure this out ,we had to cut the hangers and weld a longer set in place.you also have to space the cross support or that too will hit and rattle ectthey want me to drive the car to them in philly 3 hrs from me and they will show us how its done ,if not then they will put the stock exhaust back on and send me on my way were the f am I going to put the stock exhaust in this car.I told the to give me a refund and the shipping and they will only give me what I paid not the shipping.WHAT WOULD YOU DO???
THEY ALSO SAID THAT V-6 AND V-8 ARE THE SAME SYSTEM ONLY 4"AND 4.5' TIPS ARE THE ONLY DIFFERENCE.

Pypes is cheap overseas built crap. It has been around in the mustang market for awhile and it never fits correctly.

Why not just buy OBX as they both are about the same.

Not sure where you get your info but I had my pypes system installed this weekend with no issues at all, watched the muffler shop bolt it right up. Sounds awesome too!! I could not be more happy with it!

Joe, I'm a little bit perplexed that you made this post on the 5th after I sent you this e-mail on the 4th.

Joe,

I'm sorry you have had such a bad experience with our system. From your e-mail, I can't determine for sure what you would want us to do to make it right but I would assume you bought our system because you wanted a nice stainless aftermarket exhaust for your car that fits and looks nice. The discussions about putting the stock system back on the car are really moot at this point. That doesn't solve your problem. If that is the case, then I will guarantee that if you bring the car to us, you will leave with a system that fits and looks nice as you originally expected. There are two scenarios that are possible for this situation to exist.

1. Our system was defective and could not be installed correctly by the shop.
2. The shop did not install the system correctly.

The only other possibility is that it could be a combination of both defects and installation errors which could be the case because I have been told that the shop had to change the location of a hanger on one of the tailpipes. However, we can only determine the fault by inspecting the system.

In scenario #1, if you bring the car up here and we determine that the system is defective, we will reimburse you 100% for what you paid for the system and make sure the system is reinstalled properly at no charge to you.

In scenario #2, if you bring the car here and even if we need to replace non-defective components that the shop damaged, then we will replace the components they damaged at no charge to you AND reinstall the system at no charge to you. The only thing you would be responsible for is the original cost of the system you already paid for. In the case of #2, your disapointment in the system and compensation should be directed at the installation shop, not us.

I don't think you could ask for anything more fair than that.

Chris [/b]
-----------------------------------------------------
From the conversations you have had with Brian, Brandon and Dave, we're pretty sure the one tailpipe hanger was welded incorrectly. It's something we can fix in minutes but apparently this miswelded hanger has really caused your shop to have major issues. Regardless, we're having a hard time thinking we should have made the above offer if no matter what we do to help, you're going to bad mouth us anyway. You bought the system at GM Carlisle. Since the above offer is still not acceptable, I think there is no other choice but to return it to any of the shows we attend for a full refund which is one of the options we have offered all along.
