oxygen sensors

Guys,

I installed headers on my car about a year ago also had it tuned by ADM performance never had a problem always ran great, until last week I was about to go out when I noticed the Check engine light was on took it to Autozone threw a whole bunch of codes all related to Oxygen sensors. I checked the connections and relays all seem ok. I know of allot of cases when light comes on after headers but only when car is not tuned. So I'm guessing that my sensor are actually bad, did a quick search for the sensors came up with nothing do I have to buy them straight from the dealer? Is this something that I should be able to change my self don't really want to take it to dealer and pay an arm and a leg, any input will be greatly appreciated thanks....

All of these codes should have been turned off in the tune for LT headers and High flow cats.

They are all Rear O2 codes.

Ted,

I had my car tuned a year ago and i never had any codes, if all of a sudden they pop up would it not mean that there is actually something wrong with the sensors? I guess what I'm asking is if a sensor goes bad way after getting a tune how would I know?

They are all REAR O2 Codes which will set with headers and high flow cats or if not plugged in.

The ECM should have been tuned such that it doesn't care if the rear O2s work, or not, or if they're even plugged in. The ECM should ignore them altogether. Since your ECM is coding for them, that programming is still in place.

Maybe your cats were efficient enough to keep the light off? Doubt it. Bottom line: you need those codes turned off with a new tune.

well this sucks when I emailed Andy at ADM with this issue his response was not a tune issue, possibly bad sensors
