We had a guy put a supercharger on his brand new Firebird, take it to the dragstrip with too much boost-stretched his head bolts-you know the rest of that story. Drags it home, pulls off the s/c and brings it to us. Problem is, you go posting your s**t on a forum and your techs drive the same type of cars-I had a formula at the time and there were at least 4 or 5 other F-bodies in the shop- people know what you did. I think 2 or 3 of us even gave this guy advice on what he should do when he put a s/c on his car! Needless to say...his engine was on him not GM! The age of the internet is upon us! |

Except we're smart enough to contact our GM service rep. and let him know what happened. At 3500 miles GM is buying. unless it is modded.

Where in heck are you finding a $45-$50 flag hour???? Dealership flag hour rates in DFW run $75-90 an hour. That would dramatically increase the out-of-pocket for operator brain damage....

Why is everything so freaking cheap in Texas? I can buy an all brick mansion for what I paid for my house... Cheapest labor rate I've seen out here for a franchise shop was $75/hr And yeah dealers are all over $100 hour from what I've seen out here as well.
