i would say it would be most efficient for a passanger that doesnt have a cell phone with internet...i kno its a muscle car, but it's 2010 and anything can be added 2 a car now...go watch pimp my ride if you don't believe me(dumb show though lol)

it's def something that would benefit me when i have to drive my boss around when we travel between stores...he's always complaining about not being able 2 get onnline

Would be nice if the head unit could interface to it as well and could be programmed for Internet radio stations and the like.

I'm sorry but I'm just not seeing the appeal of this. There will be a monthly charge. Why not just get the internet on your cell phone? Like I stated before, this shouldnt function while the car is in drive. Saying thats just for the passenger is ignorant. That isnt controllable, if the passenger can use it then the driver can, and some will.

Why do you need to use it in your garage? Why not use the Wi-Fi in your home? This just makes no sense.

I see what youre saying about it doesnt add weight or hinder performance, but my question isnt "Why not?" my question is "Why?". It's dangerous and useless

so is talking on your cell phone, but ppl still do it...you say why not get the internet on your cell phone...that contradicts your statement, because the "driver" can be on their cell phone as well...alot of suv's and trucks have wifi...chevy just wants 2 stay in tune and make their money...i'm sure alot of ppl will buy this option

What about for navigation purposes? OR internet radio stations? I am thinking of mounting my Ultra Mobile PC (Samsung Q1 Ultra) for this purpose.

They're doing this because texting is going to be banned while driving. If that happens in your state, the you can just get online and use AIM or MSN messenger instead.

All good ideas thats what It COULD be used for but won't be initially.

I heard about this thing last year, AFAIK it will only initially be offered in Caddies and larger (GMC Yukon, etc) vehicles.

Meh. In between classes I'd rather be in a climate controlled building on a faster computer hardwired to the Internet than sitting in my car like a hermit. Having people see you in your car using this just gives them even more reason to snoop inside your windows or break in. Using this thing while driving would be a million times worse than talking on a phone while driving. Other than passenger use there is absolutly no point.

You will be able to put it in any vehicle....including your current 2010 Camaro.

Gotta love accessories!

you got tht right, passanger use is the only LOGICAL use for this...although, you'll probably catch some people on their laptop while driving

How about sitting around a fest, with your netbook out and your feet up. Sounds good to me.

If you're on your computer at a car show, you've missed the point
